⚠️ Nature of the status: this is a long-term residence visa, not permanent residence, and the UAE has no ordinary naturalisation route. From February 2026 the "50% of the purchase price must be paid" requirement was removed; mortgaged properties and off-plan units (from approved developers, registered via Oqood) are accepted. The applicant must apply in person inside the UAE — remote application is not possible.
